Idaho

In our estimation, Idaho is one of the most underappreciated wine states in the U.S.

Much like neighboring Washington, the climate in Idaho is a mixture of cool dampness, brilliant sunshine, and four distinct seasons. Aided by the Snake River Valley that traverses through much of the state, grapes thrive here.

Idaho wines are every bit as varied as those in California. You’ll find award winning Pinot Noirs, Chardonnays, Rieslings, Merlot, and many more.

The Idaho wine site offers a lot of information about the roughly three dozen wineries in the state, including contact information and directions.
